If you haven’t heard of Equine Assisted Learning, please learn about it here!
We’d like to first meet you and get to know you! That way you can meet the horses and talk about what you’re hoping to work on. If you aren’t sure what you need to work on, that’s ok! We’ll help you figure it out.
This initial meeting is called a “First Step Session”, and includes an hour of time on the farm. We’ve got some sign-in paperwork to do for your registration, then a brief lesson on farm safety and getting comfortable with the horses. Following this session, together we’ll be able to start individualizing your plan from there!
Once you’ve done your “First Step Session” and we’re ready to get rolling, we’ll invite you back each week to build upon your goals and ambitions! Each following session will include lots of horse-filled time, as you and your equine partner navigate through exercises and objectives designed to help you map out your real-life objectives and the steps you need to make to get there. We recommend 6 sessions before we re-analyze your plan.
Please note, you are welcome to bring one to two close family members or friends to each session if it is relevant to what you are working on, with approval from your coach, at no additional cost. Parents who are dropping off their children will be asked to wait in the barn or lounge area during the session, unless asked to watch or participate.
Once you have completed your program, you are welcome to dive into other aspects of horsemanship, including horseback riding lessons or programs focused on teaching how to handle and work with horses!
Sessions are offered in Burlington Ontario
