Reclaiming the Reins

Reclaim your footing, one step at a time.

Reclaiming the Reins is a guided Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) program designed to support individuals navigating significant life changes—whether it’s retirement, divorce, career shifts, caregiving transitions, or stepping into a new chapter of life.

Through purposeful interactions with horses, participants will explore themes of identity, resilience, confidence, and clarity while navigating a large life transition. Horses act as honest mirrors, helping you reconnect with your inner wisdom, build emotional balance, and take empowered steps forward.

This program is for people experiencing major life transitions, such as:
Divorce or separation
Career change, job loss, or burnout
Retirement or entering a new phase of life
Becoming a caregiver or experiencing changes in caregiving roles
Empty nesting or parenting transitions
Relocation or moving to a new environment
Graduating or stepping into adulthood
Starting over after a traumatic life event
Navigating identity shifts (e.g., leaving a long-held role or title)
Facing aging-related changes or midlife reevaluation
Illness diagnosis or recovery
Gender/identity transition

In a calm, non-judgmental space, you’ll learn to:
Reclaim your sense of self and direction
Build emotional resilience through change
Set healthy boundaries and re-establish personal agency
Create a vision for the next phase of life that feels aligned and meaningful

Whether you’re feeling lost, stuck, or simply ready for something new, Reclaiming the Reins offers a safe, supportive environment to process, grow, and move forward—with the horse beside you, and strength within you.

No prior horse experience is required. All sessions are done on the ground (no riding) and prioritize safety, consent, and the wellbeing of both horse and participant. This program is 4 weeks long, and is one session per week with a mid-week check in call (via zoom or google meets).
